Tucson Southwest Classic Results 

Many MAC families traveled to Tucson for the recent 3-day Southwest Classic Invitational Swim Meet.  There were many Olympic Trail Qualifiers and a few Olympians in attendance, as well as the Australian National Team and many other elite swimmers from through out the US and Mexico .  Due to the size of the meet, some Age Group 400 Meter events were cancelled.  The kids who still want to swim their 400’s before the MAC hosted Regional meet will get one last chance at the Sparky Invitational coming up June 24-27. 

Both the Age Group and Senior swimmers saw right around 50% lifetime best times overall.  Coach Glen and Coaches Paul and Laura were pleased with the swims especially if the swimmers swam the race the way they were supposed to!  As was stated before, it is rare and not expected to get a lifetime best during the middle of a training cycle and the main purpose of attending the meet was to practice racing for (and pacing for!) the taper meets that will close out our very short long course season.  Congrats to Age Groupers Kyle Zabokrtsky, William Casap, Trevor Alford and Brianna Kidney on obtaining a new state qualifying times.
