Coach Janine Simioni began swimming at age 7 for the Santa Barbara YMCA and continued her competitive career with the SBCATS where she held the most team records and became one of the top ten Age Group Swimmers in Southern California.  She went on to train for the 1980 time trials as she excelled in the 50 and 100 Freestyle as well as the 200 IM.

 

After all her training for the 1980 Olympics and then being boycotted that year, Coach Janine decided to continue her education by attending SBCC where she double majored in accounting and EMT schooling. She then decided she loved the medical field and went to Sacramento Paramedic School where she excelled in critical care for patients. After being hired on with Mobile Life and going out on a call to the beach with a scuba diver call she decided to learn to scuba dive. It was then that Santa Barbara Sheriffs department asked her to join there scuba search and rescue team.

 

Janine has been Head Coach and directed the RMLS Seadogs Swim Team for the past eight years where she helped develop a successful competitive year round program while continuing to coach the summer recreational and Pre-Competitive programs.  She carries a Level 4 ASCA certification and has taught over 300 kids and adults to swim.

 

Coach Janine retired from being an Airvac Paramedic working out of a trauma level 1 and level 2 hospitals. She also retired from the Sheriffs scuba search and rescue team after 14 fun filled years. She and her husband Mark along with her two children, Cody 17 and Jennifer 22, have lived in Mesa for the past ten years.

Coach Jennifer started swimming when she was 12 years old. She first trained with Coach Traci Hering at Red Mountain Country Club. She decided she liked it and then joined DTAC with Coach Traci. She continued onto High School swimming where she swam for Red Mountain High School and excelled in the 50 and 100 free. After High school she then joined her Mom's team RMLS seadogs where she then was introduced to teaching other swimmers to swim. 

Coach Jennifer is currently attending MCC where she will graduate in May 2010 with her assosiates degree in Interior Design.

Coach Jennifer is the asst. coach for the red and white groups.

Coach Jennifer currently has her Asca Level 1 certification and is working on her Level 2.

Sabrina Newell

Assistant Coach Sabrina has lived in Arizona for 15 years. She has been married for 14 years and has 2 girls currently on the RMLS seadogs swim team. Asst. Coach Sabrina is currently working at Red Mountain Ranch Elemetary School as the 5th grade aid.

Coach Sabrina was always at her daughters practices watching and observing what they were doing and how she could help them when not at swim team. She was approached by Coach Janine and asked to be her asstistant.  Coach Sabrina has gone to swim classes and has done everything to learn how to teach the swimmers to improve for the last 3 years.

Asst. Coach Sabrina loves to learn and is always there for the swimmers.
